SEMH English/Maths Tutors
Job description
At Impact North West LTD, as part of our alternative education programmes, we work with learners with a range of additional needs, in particular those with social, emotional and mental health needs.
We are recruiting full time, flexible GCSE English and Maths tutors to deliver to our Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 cohort at our Birkenhead, Eastham, Ellesmere Port and Northwich Centres.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and delivering the English/Maths curriculum, working to the highest professional standards
- Working collaboratively to ensure that schemes of work and curriculum programmes are embedded and implemented effectively across our centres
- Leading on assessment for learning within your subject area
- Raising progress and aspirations for all our learners.
- Reporting progress and attainment for all our learners
- Being aware and updated of the requirements of the National Curriculum and all relevant exam boards and specifications
- Committing to ongoing continuous professional development
- Following and implementing all safeguarding and child protection policies to ensure all learners are safeguarded effectively in line with our local authority safeguarding partnership policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will need to have experience in teaching, either in mainstream or specialist settings and will need to be aware of the GCSE exam boards and specifications.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Negotiable based on experience.
Education: QTS, Bachelor’s (preferred)
Experience: Teaching/Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
